Quick answer

Booking with Fareobuzz follows five steps: call 1-888-620-4018, describe your trip, review the options an agent finds, approve the itemized total, and receive written confirmation. Quotes are free and carry no obligation. Your card is charged only after you verbally approve a specific total.

Every confirmation email itemizes the supplier fare, taxes and the Fareobuzz service fee separately, and includes the supplier's record locator so you can verify the booking directly with the airline, hotel or cruise line.

The five steps

What happens at each stage
StageWhat the agent doesWhat you doCost so far
1. The callAnswers 1-888-620-4018 directly and asks about your tripDescribe route, dates, travelers, budget$0
2. The searchSearches airline, hotel, cruise and car inventory including fares not published publiclyAnswer a few clarifying questions$0
3. The optionsPresents realistic choices and explains the trade-offs honestlyAsk anything; request an email if you want to think$0
4. The quoteReads back the total: supplier fare, taxes, and our service fee as separate linesApprove, decline, or ask for alternatives$0 until you say yes
5. ConfirmationProcesses payment, issues the booking, emails itemized confirmation with record locatorVerify the booking on the supplier's own siteThe approved total
Step 5 deserves emphasis. Once you have a flight record locator, go to the airline's own website and look it up. Your itinerary should appear in their system. We encourage this on every booking — it is the clearest proof that what you paid for exists.

What we do when something goes wrong

Booking is the easy part. The reason to use an agency is what happens afterwards.

Post-booking situations and our role
What happenedWhat we doWhat we cannot do
Airline cancels your flightWork the rebooking with the airline and file a DOT refund if you decline the alternativeForce the airline to fly a cancelled route
Schedule changed by hoursRequest a rebooking to a better option, or a refund where the change is significantGuarantee the airline accepts every request
You need to change datesProcess the change; explain the airline's fee and fare difference first. Our handling fee is $50Waive the airline's own change fee
You need to cancelProcess it and tell you honestly what is refundable under the fare rulesMake a non-refundable fare refundable
Hotel is not as describedContact the property and press for a resolution or a moveCompel a hotel to act
Missed connectionWork same-day rebooking while you stay in the airportCreate seats that do not exist
Note the third column. Any travel business that claims it can always get your money back is not being straight with you. What we genuinely offer is that someone who knows the rules works the problem on your behalf, quickly, at any hour.

Booking is the easy part. The reason to use an agency is who picks up when a flight is cancelled at 2am.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when I call?

An agent answers — no phone tree. They ask what you are trying to book, gather the details (route, dates, travelers, preferences), search supplier inventory, and present options. There is no charge for this and no obligation to book. If you want to think it over, ask the agent to email the quote.

When is my card charged?

Only after you verbally approve the total. The agent reads back the full amount, including the supplier fare and our service fee as separate line items, and asks for your explicit authorization before processing anything. If you did not say yes to a number, nothing should be charged.

Will I get something in writing?

Yes. Every completed booking generates an emailed confirmation showing your itinerary, the supplier's record locator or confirmation number, an itemized breakdown of what you paid, and the supplier's cancellation and change rules. If it does not arrive within an hour, call us.

Can I get a quote without booking?

Yes, and many callers do exactly that. Quotes are free. Fares change, so a quote reflects what was available at that moment rather than a locked price, but it gives you a real number to compare against.

What if I want to think about it?

That is fine and normal. Ask the agent to email the quote. Be aware that fares are not held unless the airline specifically permits a hold on that fare class, so the price may move — the agent will tell you how volatile the route is.

Do you keep my card details on file?

Not by default. Payment details are processed through PCI-DSS compliant processors and are not stored on our own servers. For repeat corporate clients we can arrange a stored profile through a secure processor, but that requires your written authorization.
